Velocibus : Bike rental for 3, 6 or 12 months

Vélocibus is Bibus’ long-term bike hire service. Whether you choose a classic or electric bike, you can get from one place to another in an environmentally-friendly and very economical way.
You can rent your bike for 3, 6 or 12 months and discover the freedom of your city! And with the power-assisted version, slopes and uphill climbs will no longer slow you down!

-Electric bike rental is reserved for Bibus subscribers (Packages: Fréquence, FréKence-26, Tempo, Tango, Rytmo or Formule B’) and limited to a maximum of 12 months.

Vélocibus : user manual
1 -Register for the service
Visit the Bibus shop to book one of the 50 classic bikes or one of the 150 electric bikes.
This service is reserved for those living or studying in the Brest metropolitan area.Electric bike rental is reserved for Bibus subscribers (Packages: Fréquence, FréKence-26, Tempo, Tango, Rytmo or Formule B’) and limited to a maximum of 12 months.
Bikes rented through the Vélocibus service can only be used in the Brest metropolitan area (Brest, Bohars, Gouesnou, Guilers, Guipavas, Le Relecq-Kerhuon, Plougastel and Plouzané).
The electric bike must be returned at the end of the 12-month rental period.
Supporting documents required for registration:
-an identity document (identity card, passport, family record, etc.),
-proof you have been living in the Brest metropolitan area dated within the last 3 months (gas or electricity bill, etc.),
-a cheque made out to the hire company for a €200 deposit for a classic bike or €500 for an electric bike (this cheque is not cashed),
-and your KorriGo card with a Bibus subscription so you can benefit from the subscriber rate.
2 - Récupérez votre vélo
Prenez rendez-vous avec l'Association En Route Pour l'Emploi (du lundi au vendredi de 9h à 12h et de 13h30 à 17h30) au 06 82 26 90 54 pour récupérer votre vélo.
Cette association gère la maintenance des vélos du service Vélocibus.
2 - Organise to collect your bike
Make an appointment with the Association En Route Pour l'Emploi (from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm) on 06 82 26 90 54 to pick up your bike.
This association manages the maintenance of the Vélocibus bikes.
3 - Collect your bike from Bibus shop
Go to the Bibus shop at the date and time organised with the Association En Route Pour l’Emploi.When the bike is collected, an adviser will explain how to operate it and give you some guidance, especially with the electric bikes.The bike will be given the once-over when it is collected to note its condition.
4 - Return the bike at the end of the contract
At the end of the hire period (maximum of 12 months for an electric bicycle), you must:
- return the bike by making an appointment with the Association En Route Pour l'Emploi on 06 82 26 90 54 (from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm), or renew your contract by making an appointment at the Bibus shop;
Your security deposit cheque* will be returned to you by post once the bike has been inspected.
*In the event of the bike not being returned, the security deposit cheque will be cashed (this includes cases of theft by a third party). Any repairs needed once the bike has been returned due to abnormal use must be paid for before the security deposit cheque is returned.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for signing the contract.
